Sony has launched Portable Bluetooth Speaker SRS-X series back in 2015, in which Sony SRS X11 is a most prominent among them that also comes in a various colors and has quite compact design. Let’s enjoy the Sony SRS X11 Review below:
The design follows the cube-shaped box style based on older models, compact and soft edges, everything looks perfect in Sony style. Here we have Red-colored model with black sides, but you can also find it available in blue, black, pink and colors.
Sony SRS X11 speaker is covered on three of its six sides with grilles splashed in a metallic paint. A glossy plastic frame that gives the speaker a rounded-off look that runs between each square face, adding a black color side border makes it more attractive.
At the top area of the cube has NFC for easy connection to other devices, the power button, next is call receive or hang up button and than volume up/down buttons. At the end, a slot for hook the rubber strap, looks great, you can hang a cube on a bicycle handle while cycling.
On the back side of the Sony Bluetooth Speaker SRS X11, the “ADD” button to add another speaker via Bluetooth connection, hidden Reset button, next is AUX input and a microUSB connector for charging. At the bottom, LED light that tells you what unit is left and right. And Bluetooth connection, or charging indicator.
It uses Bluetooth and NFC connectivity. Supported profiles A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP, frequency range of 20-20 000 Hz. We did not find any connectivity issues using Sony Xperia and iPhone devices in both NFC and Bluetooth.
Speaking on Bluetooth range, Sony claimed that it has a 30 feet range. In testing its range so far does not have any problems at all.
Very good sound quality for a speaker of this size, high volume, perfectly conveys emotion. It’s hard to find any fault in details, as always, when it comes to ultra-portable device. You can also pair it with other Sony SRS X11 to multiply the power and maintain high sound quality. You can link up to 5 X11 speakers and get a similar experience as 5.1 surround sound.
Outdoor area like pool or park, this Sony ultra portable speaker sounds perfect, although there is background noise, which is normal in any outdoor environment. Indoor like into the kitchen or bathroom to listen to music, NFC connection is there which adds more to its value.
Despite its small size, it can also be said that is the smallest member of the Sony speaker’s family, however SRS X11 has a battery life up to 12 hours that gives you full freedom to enjoy music for a long time. It comes with a USB charger as the one we use in any of our smartphones and it can be fully charged in just 3 hours.
Sony SRS X11 Ultra Portable Bluetooth Speaker costs about $68 USD, perfect for holiday, outing, shopping and if you are traveling for a couple of weeks or a month, you will certainly come in a very handy speaker.
The design of the SRS X11 is also quite compact, good sound quality, has a speakerphone, a long lasting battery life and most importantly the money saving device that pays attention. You can grab it in five different colors on Amazon and BHPhoto store.
