Sony launches the SBH90C Bluetooth headset next to the two Xperia XZ2 series smartphones. Although Sony has a lot of headphones with Bluetooth aptX HD support, this is the first time that Sony Mobile has released a headset with such connection.
Another special feature of this Bluetooth headset is the ability to support phones with USB-C port to send audio signals like the Xperia XZ2 and many new smartphones now have loss 3.5mm port. The design of the Sony SBH90C is quite similar to the SBH70, a Bluetooth headset with an anti-splash design. While the SBH90C uses an in-ear design that inserts deep into the ear canal to provide better sound insulation for the external environment.
In addition to the standard Qualcomm aptX High-Resolution audio, the SBH90C also comes with a wired connection to USB-C models. With the built-in DAC adapter in the ear, the SBH90C can be used with any phone with a USB-C port regardless of whether or not the 3.5mm port is included.
The headset has a standby time of 16 days, continuous music playback time of up to 7.5 hours or 9 hours of talk time, and full battery charged in just 2 hours. Sony SBH90C is available in black and beige. This is an option for phones without 3.5mm jack or aptX HD Bluetooth enabled smartphones to play Hi-res Audio wirelessly.
