After one of the user feedback on Hot Pixel bugs, Sony has officially released updates to fix bugs which affecting the image quality.

Previously, when long exposure noise reduction OFF, the device had a slow shutter speed which Sony calls “Chroma noise”. In recent times, some people also encountered this error on their Sony A7R II.
The sad thing is the ability to shoot Raw compression in true 14 bit image is not yet updated. Perhaps we will have to wait a very long time for this important feature. Firmware v1.10 is released as an app for Windows Updater. Download the firmware v1.10 for Sony A7R II click here.
Changes in the Firmware v1.10:
- Improved a symptom to rarely become front focus depend on shooting scene
- Decreased chroma noise when long exposure NR is set off
- Improved Hi continuous shooting speed when using with the flash
