Sony LSPX-S3 Glass Sound Speaker with LDAC that simulates Candle

The original LSPX-S1 is dated 2016, while the newer LSPX-S2 mini Sony speaker was unveiled in early 2019. The appearance is that of a lamp made with a base in “mineral silver”, a finish chosen to give a metallic touch and greater pleasantness to the touch. The bottom is covered in the fabric while the top is composed of an organic glass cylinder that serves to diffuse light and sound.

The base has a diameter of 94 millimeters while the height stands at 289 millimeters. The weight is 1.1 kilograms. Inside the base, there is a 46mm woofer. The high frequencies are instead reproduced through the Advanced Vertical Drive technology: three actuators, fixed at the end of the glass column, vibrate the entire cylinder, transforming it into an Omni-directional tweeter, capable of spreading the sound at 360°. Completing the Sony surround sound system is a passive radiator that reinforces the low frequencies.

As for lighting, the LSPX-S3 Sony wireless speaker offers the possibility to create a soft light and to diffuse a warm atmosphere. Candlelight mode simulates the flickering of a real flame. The user can set the Glass Sound Speaker to Bright for general use or to Mild for a relaxing atmosphere. In total there are 4 lighting modes and 32 brightness levels that can be adjusted via the touch sensor. If you want you can also make the light pulsate to the rhythm of the music. Other functions include the timer that allows you to set the automatic shutdown and the microphone for making hands-free calls.
