Sony introduces WF-H800, WH-H810, and WH-H910 Wireless Headphones in H.ear Series at IFA 2019

Sony introduces three new wireless headphones in its new H.Ear product line at IFA2019. This includes a WF-H800 Sony wireless earbuds, and two WH-H910N and WH-H810 Sony wireless headphones. The price of the WH-H910N is expected to be EUR 300 and will be launched in December of this year, while the WF-H800 and WH-H810 still have no specific price.

Sony H.ear products are priced lower than the flagship 1000X and are aimed at young people with a youthful design and a variety of color options.

The WF-H800 true wireless Sony earbuds also known as H.ear in 3, will use Qualcomm TrueWireless Stereo Plus technology to connect two headphones similar to WF-1000XM3 simultaneously. The antenna is also designed to optimize the connection to reduce latency and increase stability between the ears.

The WF-H800 Sony Bluetooth Earbuds uses Bluetooth 5.0 standard and supports SBC / AAC codecs. Sony wireless earbuds use a 6mm diameter dynamic driver. The internal layout circuit is designed so that the two housing sides are smaller and can fit neatly into the ear so that they don’t protrude too much.

In Sony’s current True Wireless Earbuds lineup, the WF-H800 model is the smallest Sony headset model as well as the lightest charging case. In addition, the housing also uses the three-point ergonomic design “Ergonomics Trihold Structure”, the headset continues with three different points on your ear for a secure, comfortable fit.

The battery life of the WF-H800 Sony earbuds lasts for up to 8 hours and fully charges in 1.5 hours, with the case charging for a total use time of up to 16 hours. Fast charging within 10 minutes of use 70 minutes. The WF-H800 model has voice assistant support using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant through the Sony Headphone Connect app. It also has a sensor on either side of the headset to identify whether or not it is worn, similar to the WF-1000XM3 model. It will have 5 different color options for users to choose from.

Now coming to the Sony WH-H910N (H.ear On 3 Wireless) and WH-H810 (H.ear On 3 Mini Wireless) earphones. The WH-H910N will be equipped with active noise canceling technology, while WH-H810 will have not. Both models use a newly designed 25mm diameter dynamic driver. Despite the size reduction compared to the previous 40mm driver, the sound quality is still as high as the previous version with an aluminum dome film and a urethane edge cover to increase the driver’s sensitivity. The smaller driver size makes the housing more compact and lighter than the previous generation.

Both models use upsampling DSEE HX technology and support for Bluetooth LDAC codec. However, when plugged in directly, the WH-H910N is Hi-Res compliant when plugged in, while the WH-810 has not.

The WH-H910N’s noise resistance uses a dual noise sensor system with two microphones built into the housing of the headset. Noise canceling has also been improved by the position of the microphone and housing design to increase passive sound insulation to the outside environment. The Quick Attention feature is similar to WH-1000XM3, so users can talk and listen to the surrounding sounds without having to remove the headset. The noise level on the headset can also be adjusted up to 20 levels through Sony Headphone Connect app, Voice Focus enhancement, adaptive sound control mode.

Both Sony wireless headphones use touch control, and the WH-H810 is the company’s first on-ear model to use touch control. On both headsets is a separate button that supports Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

Up to 35 hours of continuous battery life for the WH-H910N (full 5 hours charging time). The WH-H810 has a battery life of up to 30 hours (full charge time is 3 hours). Quick charging mode helps you only need to charge for 10 minutes to be able to use 3 hours with WH-H810 and 2.5 hours with WH-H910N.

Both the Sony WH-H810 and WH-H910N models will have five different color options for users to choose from.
