The Amazon subsidiary Ring, known primarily for its smart home security video doorbells, and now presented two new smart home security products. These are the new Ring Video Doorbell 4 and the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro outdoor security camera.
After Ring recently unveiled its new alarm system, the next two new products from Ring will follow today. The Amazon-owned smart home brand announced the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro and the Ring Video Doorbell 4.
Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro
The new Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is a new security camera for outdoor use with integrated floodlights. It is based on the already well-known Ring Floodlight Cam but offers several innovations.
This includes, among other things, 3D motion detection, which is supposed to detect objects even better than with the old model using a radar sensor. Another new feature is the ability to follow motion events on an overview map in a bird’s eye view. The intercom function with Audio + offers echo cancellation and an array microphone to minimize sound distortion. The camera records videos in 1080p HDR and with a night vision function in color.
The new Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro will be available in stores in the coming months, but it can be pre-ordered from Amazon.com for just under $250.
Ring Video Doorbell 4
Also new is the Ring Video Doorbell 4, which follows the recently presented models RingDoorbell Pro 2 and the inexpensive Ring Video Doorbell wired. Compared to the third generation, the new Ring Doorbell wireless model of the battery-operated video doorbell from Ring offers, among other things, advanced motion detection, color pre-roll technology for a 4-second color video before a detected event, and improved dual-band WiFi connectivity. The intercom function, the adjustable privacy settings, and the 1080p HD video have also been improved.
The new Ring Video Doorbell 4 can already be pre-ordered from Amazon.com for just under $200.
