SmallRig launches new Camera Cage for Sigma fp Camera

SmallRig has a new camera cage for Sigma fp camera. The Small Rig cage is quite simple, but it includes a wood handle and many additional mounts.

The cage is attached to the camera with two 1/4”-20 screws, one of which is located on the bottom and the other on the right. The cage has several additional 1/4” and ARRI 3/8”-16 threads, which allows users to mount an SSD, monitor, or upper grip.

The manufacturer shows the options for placing additional devices on the camera.

This is what the version with LCD Viewfinder, microphone, top handle and V-mount battery looks like.

The camera rig comes with a flat-head screw driver for quick installation. There optional HDMI Cable Clamp 1679 and SIGMA MC21/MC31 Lens Adapter Support BSA2650 are sold separately if needed. You can also use a Baseplate 2092 to add a 15 mm rod.

The Sigma fp camera uses a full-frame 24.6-megapixel BSI-CMOS sensor and a new L-mount. The autofocus system is extremely contrast, a total of 49 AF points are available, an ISO sensitivity from 100-25600 and the ability to expand to ISO 6-102400. Burst speed – 18 fps with a maximum burst length of 25 frames. With a battery, the camera weighs 422 grams. It is capable of record high-quality videos – up to 12-bit UHD 4K 24p Cinema DNG (to an external recorder).
