Sirui has released its second anamorphic autofocus cinema lens (the first was the Sirui 40mm T1.8 1.33x, released in December). However, the new Sirui 20mm T1.8 1.33x is the first wide-angle anamorphic autofocus lens designed for APS-C mirrorless cameras. The optics are available for Sony E, Nikon Z, Fujifilm X, and Micro Four Thirds.

The new Sirui 20mm T1.8 1.33x is 96mm long and weighs just 480 grams, making it highly compact. Moreover, considering that it features autofocus, this is an impressive specification. As a result, you can easily use this anamorphic cinema lens on the go and with lightweight stabilizers.
The lens turned out to be significantly smaller than its brother in the series – Sirui 40mm T1.8 1.33x with autofocus.
Sirui’s new optics offer a wide angle of view with a minimum focusing distance of 0.4 meters. Moreover, the company states that the lens delivers a “unique anamorphic look” at a low cost. Additionally, the Sirui 20mm T1.8 1.33x lens features an STM-based autofocus. Notably, it is designed to be fast, tenacious, and silent.
It supports real-time eye-tracking autofocus (available in the latest Sony models, among others), which means that the new lens can be used, for example, when filming interviews.
Sirui also reports that this series of optics supports shooting with a high resolution of 8K. It is compatible with most cameras, including the Fujifilm X-H2 camera, which has the corresponding resolution.
This is possible by including aspherical lens elements such as ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass and HRI (High Refractive Index) glass in the optical design. As a video-oriented lens, the new Sirui 20mm T1.8 1.33x anamorphic also minimizes the negative effect of “focus breathing” and promises minimal distortion in the frame.
Sirui 20mm T1.8 1.33x Price and Availability
The new Sirui anamorphic cinema lens, originally priced at $799, is now available for $699 on Amazon.com, B&H Photo, and Adorama with a $100 discount. UK buyers can purchase it for £691.90 on Amazon.co.uk.
The optics have different anamorphic flare options. Blue and Neutral color options are available.

The aperture is controlled by adjusting a switchable ring. Users can also switch between manual and automatic focusing using a switch button on the lens barrel, including an AF lock button (customizable).
The lens has four mount options: Fujifilm X, Nikon Z, Micro Four Thirds, and Sony E. It also has a 67mm filter thread and an external font size of 72mm, ensuring consistency and coherence with the rest of the Vision Prime 1 series.
