Sigma launches 85mm F1.4 Art, 12-24mm F4 Art and 500mm F4 Lenses at Photokina 2016

At the Photokina 2016 event this year in Cologne, Germany, Sigma has announced the three flagship full-frame lenses for its Global Vision Line, including 85mm F1.4 DG HSM Art designed for bokeh, 12-24mm F4 DG HSM Art ultra-wide-angle zoom lens and 500mm F4 DG OS HSM specialized in sports. Sigma 85mm F1.4

All three newly launched lenses can be compatible with the latest camera sensor with the high resolution available today and provides more sharpness and color accuracy as high as possible.

Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens:

After many rumors, the 85mm f1.4 DG HSM Art lens is now officially launched, this lens offers a super-fast f/1.4 aperture that is great for getting images with an exceptionally shallow depth of field and smooth bokeh. A rounded 9-blade diaphragm also helps create round, smooth bokeh. It is made from a thermally-stable composite material that is light and durable and it has a brass bayonet mount. Additionally, it is fully compatible with Sigma’s USB Dock.

A Super Multi-Layer Coating has been applied to lens elements in order to minimize lens flare and ghosting, also integrated Hyper Sonic Motor realizes quick and quiet autofocusing, which is further complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to produce smoother focusing performance.

Sigma 85mm f1.4 DG HSM Art is priced at $1199, can be pre-ordered from B&H Photo store and it will be available in late October.

The 12-24mm f/4 is an ultra-wide zoom lens, it comes equipped with a Hyper Sonic AF motor with an optimized algorithm for speed and accuracy. It also offers a large focusing ring with full-time manual override settings for quickly making adjustments. Finally, Sigma introduced the flagship in the Sports line – 500mm f/4 DG OS HSM Sports is the latest and also the first super telephoto lens from Sigma in Sports line. It is designed to offer excellent optical performance, speed, and other customizable features that make it an ideal choice for wildlife, sports, action, and other fast-moving subjects. Sigma 500mm f/4

This super telephoto 500mm f/4 lens is designed for full-frame format cameras, and can also be used with APS-C models where it will provide an 800mm equivalent focal length. Optical Stabilizer system can compensate for approximately 4 stops of shutter speed for sharper images. It is also compatible with Sigma Global Vision Teleconverters such as 1.4x teleconverter or the 2x teleconverter.
