Sigma has announced the 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art series lens for Sony E and the Panasonic – Leica – Sigma L-mounts.
The Sigma 24-70mm incorporates a series of low dispersion and aspherical elements that greatly reduce a variety of aberrations. The lens features Sigma Super Multi-Layer and Nano Porous Coatings to improve contrast and color rendering by suppressing lens flare and ghosting. Autofocus is performed using a stepping AF motor, and the lens can focus at a distance of 18 cm.
This new Sigma Sony E mount lens is weatherproof, has a brass bayonet and uses 82 mm filters. The weight of the Sigma art lens L-mount model is 835 grams, and the figure for the Sigma art lens Sony E-mount version is also 835 grams.
