Sigma has introduced an 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN zoom lens for Fujifilm X-mount cameras. The lens is almost identical to the Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN for E- and L-mount systems.

Its focal length corresponds to 27-75mm in 35mm and thus covers the most common standard focal lengths. The optical design includes thirteen elements in ten groups, including three aspherical elements and one extra-low dispersion (SLD).
The large aperture of F2.8 over the entire focal length range enables shots with a pleasantly soft bokeh, from which the sharp subject stands out. The use of the latest optical design technologies ensures this impressive imaging performance. With a close-up limit of 12.1 cm and a maximum magnification of 1:2.8×1, the lens is also very suitable for close-ups.
Sigma says the lens has been optimized for Fujifilm cameras and supports continuous autofocus and in-camera aberration correction. Like the versions for other mounts, it has a weatherproof design.
