Sharp S3 has been officially launched in Japan. It is the successor of the Aquos S2 was announced last year. It is a mid-range smartphone that comes with the Android One OS, waterproof and dustproof body. The handset is available in Blue, Black, White and Pink color variants and has been priced at YEN 32,400 – approximately $300.

The Sharp S3 features a 5.0-inch IGZO display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and it has a polycarbonate body. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor which supported by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset paired with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It packs a 32GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.
The S3 flaunts a 13.1-megapixel primary autofocus camera with LED flash and has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie and quality video calling. The Sharp S3 also comes equipped with IPX5 / IPX8 certifications to protect against water and IP6X rating for dust.
The handset runs on Android 8.0 Oreo based on Android One programme. and packs a 2700mAh battery capacity. It supports dual SIM slot with dual standby. For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, and USB Type-C port options.
