Sharp recently launched the Sharp Aquos R smartphone in Japan, it sported a true 2K display, Fingerprint sensor, 22MP camera and powerful Snapdragon 835 CPU. Now, a new report also claims that the Sharp Aquos R Compact with a true front bezel-free design.
The winfuture reports that the Sharp Aquos R Compact will sport 2.5D curved glass with minimal bezels on the top and side edges to maximize screen real estate even further. According to renders, we are seeing the top middle part of the device display is fitted to the front facing camera. The selfie camera on the device cuts the notification panel into two halves.
At the bottom, there will be a thin bezel that will house a fingerprint sensor, according to the leaked renders. This is a complete shift from the predecessor’s design formula that sports the regular design.
Apart from this, there is little else that is known about the device as of now. The Sharp Aquos R was launched last month. Just to recall, it features a 5.3-inch display and is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone sports 22.6-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, OIS, an f/1.9 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. It also sports a 13.6-megapixel front camera for selfies and video chats.
