Sharp Aquos L with waterproof and dustproof ratings Launched

Japanese company Sharp has unveiled another new Android smartphone, the Aquos L in the home country. The Sharp Aquos L is also waterproof and dustproof with IPX5 / IPX8, and IP6X certifications. The Sharp Aquos L features a 5.0-inch IGZO display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution that can translate a pixel density of 294ppi. It has a liquid crystal display along with Sharp’s own energy-saving technology. There is also “S-PureLED” to reproduce the natural colors, and suppresses the reflection of the screen with the in-cell touch panel, best for reading with natural color. The front panel is also protected by the 2.5D glass along with fingerprint coating, and thin round design that fits easily in one hand.

This Sharp Aquos Phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (1.4 GHz Quad Core + 1.1 GHz Quad Core) processor paired with Adreno 506 GPU. It packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.

On the camera front, the device flaunts a 13-megapixel primary autofocus camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens to capture stunning self-portraits and quality video calling. It is certified by IPX5 and IPX8 waterproof technology that can protect it against water splash or even you have dropped, and also comes with IP6X dust-proof technology which can secure it from dust. Sharp Aquos Phone

The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and a 2700mAh battery out of the box. For connectivity includes 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio jack options.

Last week, Sharp mobile has announced two smartphones, the Z2 and MS1, in Singapore. With these smartphones, the company is making a re-entry into the Singapore mobile market after two years of absence. The Sharp Z2 has been priced at $399 while the Sharp MS1 has been priced at $299, Both the Sharp smartphones will be available from 29th October at online and offline stores in Singapore.
