Seven New Sony Xperia Smartphones with Up to Six Cameras, Four FlagShip with 5G, and SD865

We are coming to the end of the year and now the important announcements are over, or at least we should not expect another top of the range in 2019. The spotlight is aimed at 2020 and in particular at the MWC 2020, the first real appointment that will anticipate a series of smartphones under the 5G banner.

Sony will be among the first and although it is not a happy period for the mobile division, 7 new Sony Xperia smartphones are expected in the coming months. Of these, 4 will be flagships, that are characterized by the best hardware on the market and, in all probability, based on the Snapdragon 865 processor.

Sony Xperia 1.1

It will be the successor to Xperia 1, it will have 4 rear cameras and an OLED 4K display. There is the talk of a ToF sensor associated with a 12MP main sensor with a very wide sensor and 5G SA connectivity.

Sony Xperia 3

It should be the real successor to the Xperia XZ2 Compact and therefore have the same specifications as the Xperia 1.1 except for the lower screen resolution and a smaller battery.

Sony Xperia 5.1

It will be the successor to the current Xperia 5 and will be based on the Snapdragon 865 CPU, it will also have four rear cameras and a display with FHD resolution and 5G connectivity.

Sony Xperia 0

The Sony Xperia 0 would be a product still superior to all other Xperia phones and even equipped with six rear cameras (5 + ToF) setup: 20MP F2.4 16MM + 48MP F1.2 / 2.4 26MM + 16MP F2.4 52MM + 8MP F2.4 135MM + 12MP F1.2 / 2.4 26MM + 0.5MP ToF. Obviously 5G and Snapdragon 865 SoC with a screen perhaps OLED 4K and a size larger than Xperia 1.1. A front will have a dual 10MP + 0.3MP sensors.

Sony Xperia 10.1

Sony Xperia 9.1

Sony Xperia 8.1

There will be three more mid-range and low-end models that should go on to replace the Xperia 10 range currently on the market by ordering between the numbers and the standard and Plus versions.

Presence of 5G not to be excluded. Obviously it is not said that all the information is correct and that the whole range is announced at the MWC 2020. It should also be noted that some models could only be destined for the Japanese market. However, there are many interesting models and 2020 will finally be the year of 5G.
