Sennheiser today introduced its latest over the ear wireless headphones. The Sennheiser Momentum 4 True Wireless promises extremely long battery life, particularly effective adaptive noise cancellation, and sound that outperforms the competition.
The brand new Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless does without the retro design of its predecessor, instead, the manufacturer relies on a look that is as modern as it is inconspicuous. Buttons are dispensed with in favor of a touch-sensitive surface on the outside of the ear cups.
You can personalize and adjust the sound via the Sennheiser Smart Control App. Adjust the sound to your individual listening preferences via the integrated equalizer, presets and sound modes. The four digital beamforming microphones ensure high-quality voice pick-up and automatically suppress wind noise for optimized calls and easier access to the voice assistant.
Similar to the Apple AirPods Max (REVIEW), the new Bluetooth headphone from Sennheiser also do without a power button, instead they are switched on and off automatically. The case cannot be folded, so the transport bag is comparatively large. The connection to the smartphone is via Bluetooth 5.2, with the Momentum 4 True Wireless supporting AAC and SBC as well as Qualcomm aptX Adaptive and Bluetooth Multipoint for simultaneous connection with two devices.
The drivers offer a diameter of 42 millimeters, Sennheiser speaks of a frequency range of 6 Hz to 22 kHz. Sennheiser’s marketing boasts of a new Sound Personalization feature, which can be adjusted to one’s wishes using an equalizer. Adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) on the new wireless headphones with microphone also offers a transparency mode. The battery life increases from 17 hours to an impressive 60 hours, while most competitors such as the Apple AirPods Max or the Sony WH-1000XM5 (approx. $398 / £380 on Amazon) barely reach half of this runtime.
