Sennheiser MD 435

The MD 435 dynamic microphone wants to capture the sound of the MD 9235 capsule. According to Sennheiser, this primarily means “natural quality and attention to detail”. Even soft voices should be able to assert themselves with the cardioid microphone without effort.

The large-diaphragm microphone has a high dynamic range of 146 dB (A) and processes sound pressure levels of up to 163 dB / 1 kHz. The aluminum-copper voice coil ensures fast transient response and a detailed and transparent sound as a result. According to Sennheiser, this applies to the heights.

The robust construction is designed for live purposes. For this purpose, the vocal microphone has a metal housing and a shock-absorbing capsule. A hum compensation coil also protects the microphone from electromagnetic interference. The capsule is compatible with all Sennheiser wireless systems with a standard capsule interface.

The price is $499.95. You can pre-order it now from Bhphotovideo.com, and shipping expected next month.

With MD 445, assertiveness comes first. A large diaphragm microphone provided with a super-cardioid is equipped. Here, too, there is a voice coil made of lightweight aluminum-copper inside. And that brings just as fast transient response and detailed sound. Full mids and bass – that’s what Sennheiser attaches great importance to. And a high level of feedback resistance is particularly important.
