Sennheiser has just introduced the “IEN BT” Bluetooth Neckband style in-ear headphones of the IE8 Series with a special 2-pin connector. The Sennheiser IEN BT is the part of the IE 80S BT earphones that was introduced in September.
Inside the new Sennheiser wireless headphones is a high-end DAC/Amp chip from Asahi Kasei Microdevices. This is a high-end solution for optimizing the sound quality of the IE8 series headphones. It is compatible with the IEN BT Bluetooth module include IE80S, IE80, IE8, and IE8i. It supports Bluetooth 5.0 Class 1 with advanced codec support such as AAC/aptX/aptXLL/aptX HD/HWA.
The IEN BT will be compatible with Sennheiser Smart Control software capable of direct EQ adjustment, auto-off time adjustment, firmware upgrade. It has a separate button for virtual assistants like Google Assistant and Siri.
