Sennheiser IE 400 Pro and IE 500 Pro In- Ear Headphones Launched at NAMM 2019

Sennheiser has added 2 new members to its in-ear audio monitor series for professionals, including IE 400 PRO and IE 500 PRO. The target audience is artists, DJs, or sound engineers. Both will go on sale in March with price starts from $349.95 and $606.58 respectively.

Under the PRO line, both possess natural sound quality, balanced with an extremely comfortable wearable design to be able to work and listen for a long time. Unlike most in-ear monitor products on the market that often use balanced armature drivers, Sennheiser equips two new products with its dynamic drivers with TrueResponse technology for total harmonic distortion (THD) below 0.08% at 1kHz and 94dB.

Thanks to a small 7mm driver, both Sennheiser IE 400 PRO and IE 500 PRO are compact in size to provide a comfortable wearing feel. This design also helps to limit up to 26dB of noise from the external environment. Sennheiser also equipped detachable cords for their product duo.

The biggest difference between 1 and 2.5 kHz, the IE 500 PRO has more presence and sounds much more direct, thus opening up a very wide and deep sound stage that allows artists to more easily localize themselves in the mix. Furthermore, it has a wider frequency response and a few extra dBs of sound pressure level.

Both models are available in a Clear and a Smoky Black version. They come complete with a handy transport case, memory foam and silicone ear tips, a cleaning tool, and a 3.5 mm (1/8”) to 6.3 mm (1/4”) jack adaptor.
