Audio specialist Sennheiser is now offering new wireless earbuds with Bluetooth 5.3. According to the manufacturer’s rather effusive statements, the Sennheiser Accentum Open aren’t just earbuds but a life hack. Unsurprisingly, they’re open-back headphones, which have advantages and disadvantages.

Sennheiser, a headphone manufacturer, offers a wide variety and is now expanding its sports Bluetooth wireless earphone range by introducing the Accentum Open—an open-backed pair of in-ear headphones.
The more open design results in less passive attenuation of ambient noise; unsurprisingly, there’s no active noise reduction either. This can improve safety in traffic, for example, by allowing the user to perceive their surroundings even without a dedicated transparency mode. However, active noise cancellation might be desirable when traveling by plane.
The new Sennheiser Accentum wireless earbuds feature 11-millimeter dynamic drivers. Noise cancellation is possible on the recording side, which should protect the person you’re talking to from wind noise. The Sennheiser Open earbuds offer a battery life of up to 6 hours; with intermediate charges, the battery life increases to 28 hours, according to the manufacturer. A full charge takes about an hour.

Wireless data transmission is supported via Bluetooth 5.3 using the SBC and AAC profiles; lossless transmission is not supported. The Bluetooth earbuds for running and phone calls are IPX4 certified and protected against dust and water ingress damage. The sweat-proof earphones wireless model and charging case together weigh 38 grams. Touch surfaces are present, and the connection or pairing is possible with up to eight devices.
