Seagate introduces New 12TB Hard Drives for NAS and PC Desktop

Seagate has launched a new line of high-capacity hard drives, well over 12TB of storage space for all types of users. The hard disk giant extends its Guardian series, designed not only for NAS but also for workstations and desktop systems that require high capacity disks.

First, is the new Seagate Barracuda Pro is designed for workstations, but also for professionals who want to assemble a desktop PC. The drive obviously has a 3.5″ form factor, a 7200 RPM rotating speed and a 6 Gbps SATA interface, and performance also guaranteed by a 256MB cache, the company declares a peak of 250 MB / s sustained transfer rate.
