Lexar 800x SDXC cards up to 256GB with high speed at attractive prices

Lexar has announced the launch of its new 800x (Blue Label) SDXC memory card series, designed to deliver “high-speed performance for capturing everyday experiences.” This new Lexar SDXC card belongs to the mid-range segment and meets the needs of most users, but does not shine with top performance.

Lexar 800x SDXC Card

With a fairly high read speed of up to 120MB/s, its write speed is (only) 45MB/s, which is good enough for most of today’s applications. This Class 10 micro SDXC card use UHS-I technology to deliver high-speed performance.

The writing speed is decently fast and is good enough for many “everyday” applications. The reading speed is significantly higher and allows data to be transferred quickly from the card.

It distinguishes the card with the black and blue label from the more sophisticated Lexar SD cards with black and silver labels and the top series with black and gold labels. (With UHS-II technology, the SDXC cards labeled silver and gold currently achieve read speeds of 160 to 300 MB/s and write speeds of 120 MB/s to 260 MB/s.) The 800x SDXC memory card belongs to the “Class 10” speed classes, U3 and V30, whereby the Class 10, U1, and V10 apply to the 32GB SDHC model.

The Lexar Blue Series high-performance 800x SDHC/SDXC cards are designed for mid-range DSLR cameras and HD camcorders. With read speeds of up to 120MB/s, users can quickly transfer high-quality photos of Full HD and 4K UHD videos from the card to a computer or hard drive.

Lexar 800x price and availability

Lexar’s new 800x SDXC memory card is now available to pre-order in Bhphotovideo.com online store. The price for the 128GB variant is $22.99 and $47.99 for the 256GB model. The micro SDXC card is also available in 32 GB and 64 GB storage options.

Recently, Lexar has also introduced the new SL660 portable external SSD for gaming, which – as its sleek design housing with brightly colored LEDs reveals – is designed for the gaming scene, and pricing starts from $129.99.
