Samsung along with the Harman Kardon announced the launch of a new range of soundbars. Part of the new lineup was the HW-N950 and HW-N850 soundbars. Both are the first major collaboration between Harman Kardon and Samsung to enter the premium segment.
The Taiwanese tech giant revealed two new premium soundbars: the HW-N950 7.1 channel soundbar which is currently the largest number of channels available in a soundbar; and the HW-N850 5.1.2 channel soundbar. Both feature Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technologies with side-firing speakers that move sound naturally above and around listeners.
The HW-N950 comes equipped with the main unit, four speakers and two wireless surround sound speakers, while the HW-N850 featuring a main unit speaker and woofer. Additionally, the HW-N950 has a built-in wireless subwoofer and rear wireless speaker kit to round out the premium audio experience.
The HW-N950 variant will be priced at $1,699.99, while the HW-N850 will have a retail price of $1,199.99. Both the Samsung and Harman Kardon soundbars are expected to be available from August 20, 2018.
