Samsung ViewFinity S8 Monitor for creative professionals Listed on BestBuy

Samsung introduced a new ViewFinity S8 (S27B800T) monitor back in June this year, which is finally listed on the online store. The new Samsung 4K monitor is primarily aimed at demanding users from the creative industry. Particularly, Graphic designers, photographers, and video enthusiasts should benefit from the bright, color-accurate IPS panel.

The new Samsung ViewFinity S8 monitor is aimed specifically at creative professionals, because Samsung has installed a color-accurate IPS panel with a diagonal of 27 inches, which can display 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. Samsung promises professional factory calibration, so users don’t have to waste time calibrating the monitor out of the box to get accurate color representation.

The Samsung 27 inch monitor is Pantone-validated; according to Samsung, more than 2,000 Pantone colors and over 110 skin tones can be displayed authentically. Regardless of the size, the monitor offers full 4K resolution, i.e. 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, and achieves a brightness of up to 400 nits.

If the Samsung ViewFinity S8 is connected to a notebook via USB-C, it can be charged with up to 90 watts. The USB-C connection allows you to use the monitor’s built-in three-port USB hub and Ethernet port. Alternatively, it is possible to connect computers via DisplayPort. The included stand allows you to adjust the height of the monitor, and the housing is partly made of recycled plastic that was fished from the ocean.

Price and release date

The Samsung ViewFinity S8 is finally listed on Bestbuy.com for $549.99 with up to $50 OFF on the listed price of $599.99, but the availability status is “Coming Soon”, the store has not yet given any information about it.
