Samsung officially announced the new flip phone device called Samsung SM-G9298 aka Leader 8. The announcement shows us a particularly powerful device featuring a retro-style clamshell design.
Samsung has managed to include an amazing technical specification in this new flip phone. We are talking about a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of native storage with micro SD support. The device features a 4.2-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution on the outside as well as on the inside. It packs a 2300mAh battery with wireless charging support.
On the camera front, Samsung SM-G9298 bears a 12-megapixel rear autofocus camera with f/1.7 aperture and LED flash. For selfie, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture. There is also a rear fingerprint sensor. The device measures 130.2 x 62.6 x 15.9 mm and weighs 235 grams.
Other features, Samsung Leader 8 is compatible with Samsung Pay, Secure Folder, and S Voice. Unfortunately, there is no support for the new Bixby digital assist. The device will be available for the Chinese market only, and its price not yet specified by the Korean company.
