Samsung launches ArtPC Pulse desktop PC with Harman Kardon speaker

Samsung quietly maintains its PC business and its latest product is a desktop PC with unique cylindrical design named ArtPC Pulse. Thus ArtPC Pulse is now officially become a member of the compact desktop PC, along with the Apple Mac Pro, MSI Vortex and HP Pavilion Wave. This Samsung desktop PC has been posted on Amazon US with price ranging from $1,200 to $1,600 depending on configuration, and can be pre-ordered now.

Samsung ArtPC Pulse looks quite fancy, and if not, it’s hard to know this is a desktop. Housing is made of metal, round cylindrical design with layering between two round blue LED lights. The size of the Samsung PC Computer is quite compact, 139 mm diameter, 310 mm high, and weighing 3.3 kg (Mac Pro has a diameter of 167 mm, 251 mm high and weighs 5 kg).

One of the main highlights of this Samsung desktop is a 360-degree speakers from Harman  Kardon installed on top. It is quite similar to HP Pavilion Wave – an entertainment PC as both equipped with high quality speakers (HP uses B & O). Mac Pro has also integrated speakers, but it’s a more for office work than entertainment.

It is available in two configuration options, will meet best for users needing entertainment such as movies and games. However, AMD Radeon RX460 GPU not much expensive, used Polaris 11 chip so its graphics performance just enough for you to play games at Full HD resolution, but not suitable for 4K or VR gaming.

The connectors on the ArtPC Pulse quite full with a standard 4 x USB 3.0 ports, 1 x USB-C but does not support Thunderbolt 3, audio jack, HDMI, LAN, and SD card reader. Wireless connections such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are also there. It comes with installed Windows 10 Home Signature Edition, means there will be very few pre-installed apps.
