Samsung Gear 360 2016 variant, the 360-degree camera has received a price cut in USA and UK. The 360 spherical camera is now listed on the Amazon.com / Amazon.co.uk websites with an MRP of $168.55 / £183.69, which is £165.31 lower from the launch price.
To recall, the Gear 36 went on sale in USA back in April last year, and was priced at $349.99 / £349.00. Unfortunately, there is no word whether the price cut is permanent or for a limited period.
The Samsung Gear 360 2016 features dual fish-eye lenses with 15-megapixel image sensors. These sensors capture high-resolution 360-degree videos (3840×1920 pixels) along with 30-megapixel still images. The device lets you capture 180-degree wide angle video and images with only using one side of the camera lens. It packs Bright Lens F2.0, which Samsung claimed can create high-resolution images in low-light conditions as well as allow users to create full panoramic videos. The Gear 360 requires a dedicated mobile app which can be downloaded from the Galaxy Apps store and Google Play.
Samsung early this month introduced the Gear 360 2017 variant – 4K 360-degree camera which now supports live streaming. The Samsung Gear 360 2017 is also available for purchase in USA and UK, priced at $239.90 and £236.74, respectively.
