Both Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ have been spotted with Cases and Covers in a host of leaked renders giving a glimpse of the design of the smartphone. To recall, both devices were recently spotted in 3D render video on YouTube.
Alleged Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones showing the display with an aspect ratio 18:9, going in-line with the flagship Samsung Galaxy S8. The leaked renders also show the placement of fingerprint scanner being shifted to the back of the device.
In terms of overall design, the alleged Galaxy S9 will be featuring single-camera module at the back, while the Galaxy S9+ with dual camera sensors on the back. The right panel of both flagships packs the power button while the left houses volume rockers. There’s an additional button on the left panel. The transparent case made by Olixar show different color shade and doesn’t reveal the exact exterior design.
Alongside the renders, Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus prototype has been also leaked in video. We emphasize the presumed term, since some doubts emerge regarding the authenticity of the leaked news, especially regarding the LED flash and heartbeat sensor positions.
In leaked renders, posted below, these elements are placed the right side of the camera, while in the video are located just under the dual camera module. The fingerprint sensor, which will be present on the back of the smartphone, seems to be absent, so it is possible that this is a discarded prototype and not representative of the final product that should come on the market.
Other leaks, gives us a glimpse of the front panel and back panel of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ devices.
Talking about the front panels of the new smartphones, clearly, show a similarity to the design on the Samsung Galaxy S8. The bezels on the front panel, although slightly smaller, appear similar to this year’s Galaxy S8.
The back panel of the Samsung Galaxy S9 shows cutouts for a single-camera setup on the rear of the smartphone. The fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S9 also seems to have shifted to the bottom of the rear camera module.
Another leak from a China suggests that we might get an upgraded battery capacity on the Galaxy S9, compared to last year. According to this leak, the Galaxy S9 will sport a 3200mAh battery, which is 200mAh more than the 3000mAh battery we saw on this year’s Galaxy S8. Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 is expected to offer fast charging support on both devices. There is currently no update on the battery capacity of the Galaxy S9+.
