Samsung Galaxy A8 with 16MP camera and Exynos 5430 SoC Launched in India

The Samsung Galaxy A8 has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 32,500 – approximately $508. The Samsung India has announced that the Galaxy A8 will be available from next week, in three color variants such as Black, White, and Gold options.

The Galaxy A8 is slimmest smartphone from Samsung with a thickness of only 5.9mm and try to compete with other slim devices in the market such as Oppo R5, Gionee Elife S5.1, Elife S5.5, Elife S7, Vivo X5Max and Coolpad Ivvi K1 Mini.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 support dual-SIM functionality, and comes with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full-HD resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and pixel density of 386 ppi. It runs on latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz UI interface. It has a metal frame design, narrow bezel screen and also support finger print sensor which located in the Home button.

The Galaxy A8 is powered by a 1.3GHz/1.8GHz quad-core processor, Exynos 5430 Octa-core SoC (Indian version) and coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phablet features 32GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD. One of the Dual-SIM slots also used as a microSD card slot, so you would either get a dual-SIM support without a microSD card slot or a single-SIM support with microSD card slot.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture, optical image stabilization sensor, up to 120 degree wide-angle lens; while there is a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera. On the connectivity, the Samsung A8 includes 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi dual band, GPS, GLONASS, Micro-USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.1 options. For sensor, there are accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, and ambient light sensors.
