Asus continued its partnership with the Austrian fan specialist Noctua and offered an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Super Noctua OC Edition. Despite having only two fans, the graphics card is notably quiet.
After Asus already offers a GeForce RTX 4080 with Noctua fans, a variant based on the GeForce RTX 4080 Super is now followed, which is supposed to be even more powerful. The Asus TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4080 Super OC Edition graphics card achieves boost clock frequencies of up to 2,640 MHz in overclocking mode—90 MHz higher than Nvidia’s reference design.
Instead of three 105-millimeter axial fans, the Noctua OC Edition uses two 120-millimeter fans, with Asus relying on the Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM. The combination of the 25-millimeter thick fans and the comparatively massive heat sink results in a relatively large case, which, with a height of 87.5 millimeters, occupies a total of 4.3 slots; at 31 centimeters, the Noctua variant is at least slightly shorter than the TUF Gaming version.
