Battle against Dokugumon and unexpected transformation in Digimon Survive gameplay

Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment and developer studio HYDE have unveiled new gameplay video from their survival role playing game Digimon Survive as part of the Korean festival Rulicon 2022.

Recall that Digimon Survive will tell about a group of teenagers, led by Takuma Momotsuka, who, during a trip to a special summer camp, will find themselves in a “strange new world full of monsters and dangers”.

The revealed gameplay segment shows the battle against Dokugumon, in which Agumon, owned by Momotsuka, transforms into Greimon. The video is only available in Japanese with Korean subtitles.

In a pre survive game play announcement, Digimon Survive producer Kazumasa Habu attributed the game’s demo at a Korean event to the growing popularity of the franchise in the region.

Until now, various Digimon games such as ‘Digimon World’ and ‘Digimon Story’ have appeared, showing the worldview and story of games that are different from animation. Although the system of text adventure forms the basic axis, based on the setting that how you express your feelings affects partner monsters, a system in which the evolution of Digimon changes depending on your choices is adopted, and transferred to a development that is worth trying with this game system.

A dark story different from Digimon’s work is drawn. There are scenes where they are lost in a dangerous different world where monsters roam or are driven to survival, and even among their friends, they deny or hurt their partner monsters because of their weak minds.

The new action role-playing game is already available to pre-order on the Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk stores at $59.99, and the Digimon Survive release date has been set for July 29 this year for PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch. The project will debut in Japan on July 28.

Recently, Nintendo and Omega Force have unveiled a new one-and-a-half-minute gameplay trailer for their Musou action game Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.

The Fire Emblem switch game’s new video is almost a minute and a half long and shows members of the Fargus Kingdom faction, which is made up of members of the Blue Lions house in the Three Houses. Judging by the video, it will be possible to play for everyone.
