Roland Juno-X Synthesizer with many modern Features

Those who don’t know the Roland synthesizers well get confused. There are so-called Model Expansions, i.e. separate Roland synthesizer models for the entire series. (Fantom, Fantom-0, Jupiter-X, Jupiter-Xm). Juno-X Roland Synthesizers

The Juno-X is visually reminiscent of its ancestors but is a technologically packed instrument that not only masters the classic synth sounds of the originals. It is also capable of reproducing the sounds of the XV-5080 or RD pianos. Other sounds, e.g. B. sounds of the Jupiter-8, JD-800, SH-101, etc. can be realized by model expansions. Four oscillators work in the Juno-X, which allows the layering of up to four sounds.

Juno-X also offers a fivefold multimode, one part of which is reserved for drums only. Other features include a step sequencer and the i-arpeggiator known as the Jupiter-X, which offers an extended range of functions. Integrated effects, a microphone input, MIDI, USB-to-Host, USB-to-Device, XLR outputs, two-pedal outputs, and two balanced jack outputs round off the features. Juno-X is played using an aftertouch-capable 61-key synthesizer keyboard.

Roland Juno-X price and availability

The price is comparatively high at $1,999.99 (you can pre-order it from Bhphotovideo.com), but the Juno-X is one of the few multimode-capable Roland synthesizers on the market and for many, the boutique series is too small or find the Jupiter-X and Xm devices too complicated. It has a simple velocity-sensitive Roland keyboard with no MIDI thru but with aftertouch. It weighs 11.6 kg and has 2x USB and a stereo and XLR microphone input.
