Rokinon has announced the release of two new lenses with a fixed focal length, which are designed for video. The 16mm T2.6 Pro and 35mm T1.5 Pro Rokinon lenses are part of the XEEN CF series.
The ‘CF’ means that these new Rokinon lenses body is made of carbon fiber. Using carbon fiber instead of metal will significantly reduce lens weight and make it lighter to lift. The 16mm T2.6 Pro weighs approximately 0.9 kg, the 35mm T1.5 Pro is at 1.1 kg.
Like the previously released XEEN CF 24mm T1.5, 50mm T1.5, and 85mm T1.5 Rokinon lenses, both new lenses are available for PL, Canon EF and Sony E mount.
Common features of XEEN CF 16mm T2.6 Pro and XEEN CF 35mm T1.5 Pro include an eleven-blade aperture and a focus ring with a 200° stroke. The lenses are designed for filters with a diameter of 95 mm. Scales are marked with a rotation of 90° and highlighted with luminescent paint.
The minimum focusing distance of the 16mm T2.6 model is 30 cm, and the 35mm T1.5 is 33 cm. The 156mm lens has a 107° viewing angle and dimensions of 100 x 82.3 mm, the dimensions of the 35mm lens are 100 x 113.7 mm, and 63.1° viewing angle.

Both lenses are available for Canon EF, PL, and Sony E mounts and now it can be pre-ordered via BH Photo store and delivery is expected in April 2020.
