Rokinon lenses with E-mount: V-AF 24mm, 35mm, and 75mm

The South Korean lens manufacturer Samyang (also known as Rokinon) introduced a new “V-AF” lens series for video and film applications with 35mm T1.9, 24mm T1.9, and 75mm T1.9. These Rokinon lenses come with autofocus, which is why the series and the individual lenses are referred to as “V-AF” (video autofocus).

The new V-AF range offers filmmakers, videographers, vloggers, and creators specific Sony E mount lenses for shooting videos. The uniform housing with almost the same weight and identical size, LED (recording status), and many other features make these Rokinon lenses ideal for filming.

The V-AF series comes with five different focal lengths (ultra WW to medium telephoto) and offers high compatibility with gimbals, drones, and video rigs thanks to a uniform and compact form factor. Due to the compact size of 73 x 70 mm and low weight of less than 300 g, gimbals, drones or video rigs do not have to be adjusted when changing lenses.

The “V-AF” lenses offer a uniform form factor, which is practical when filming with additional accessories such as a matte box, a video rig, etc. because not all accessories have to be adapted when changing lenses within the same lens series. In addition, they each have a user-definable switch and button. The new Rokinon lenses support resolutions up to 8K.

Rokinon Optics recently expanded its existing “XEEN CF” product line at the upper end of the focal length with a sixth prime lens with a telephoto focal length of 135mm, which is relatively strong for cine lenses. Rokinon Xeen CF 135mm T2.2 cinema lens is designed for full-frame sensors, comes in three mounts: ARRI PL, Canon EF, and Sony E, and has a carbon fiber construction.
