Asus has unveiled the ROG Swift 360Hz PG27AQN 27-inch gaming monitor with a speedy IPS panel. Arriving soon, the Asus ROG Swift PG27AQN has a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution and also support for NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer technology.
Asus has announced the ROG Swift 360Hz PG27AQN 27-inch gaming monitor that will be available soon, as already listed in various online stores.
Going by ASUS’ naming system, the ROG Swift 360Hz PG27AQN is a QHD monitor. According to Asus, DisplayPort connections on the monitor support display stream compression (DSC).
The 27-inch 360Hz gaming monitor comes with a new type of IPS panel from AUO. Specifically, a “higher birefringence effect” and a “lower viscosity” should make significantly “faster switching and light changes” possible. The DisplayHDR 600-certified monitor has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD) at a maximum refresh rate of 360 Hz and promises a 1 ms fast gray change.
The contrast ratio is 1000:1, the peak brightness is 600 cd/m², the color depth is 8-bit, the sRGB coverage is 135 percent, and the 98 percent DCI-P3 coverage. The Delta E value is estimated to be less than 2. Native G-Sync ensures tear-free gaming sessions. Also at the start are HDR10 support, Aura Sync lighting, and various GamePlus features such as crosshair overlays or an fps display.
On the connection side, there are three HDMI 2.0 inputs (WQHD at max. 240 Hz), a DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC (WQHD at max. 360 Hz), a USB 3.2 hub (Gen 1), and a headphone output. It supports rotation, tilt, height adjustment, pivot, and VESA mount (100 x 100 mm). Blue light filtering and flicker-free backlighting are also there. On top of that, there is a so-called dual mode for e-sports purposes, with which the image can be scaled to 25 inches and 1080p or 2368 x 1332 pixels.
The factory color-calibrated Asus ROG Swift PG27AQN equipped with the NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer weighs 4.8 kg without the stand, measures 614 x 367 x 90 mm (W x H x D) and has a power consumption of fewer than 42 watts.
