The Asus ROG Strix XG32WCMS is a new and fast VA QHD curved gaming monitor. The 1440p 31.5-inch monitor supports ELMB and is quite large. Depending on the seating distance, the sharpness is not extremely high. HDR400 support is advertised – but this is probably not exactly breathtaking.

Asus 280Hz monitor comes with a screen diagonal of 32 inches, it practically reaches the range of television. The resolution is 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, so if you sit closer, the image will not be very sharp. The screen has a 1,500-millimeter curvature to minimize the need for turning your head. This could also be beneficial for immersion.
VESA HDR 400 support is advertised, but compared to a mini-LED or OLED monitor, for example, the Fast VA panel is unlikely to see any land. The typical brightness is 350 cd/m², and the maximum brightness when playing HDR content is 400 cd/m², which is sufficient for a VESA Display HDR 400 certification. Asus states the typical contrast ratio as 4,000:1.
However, the refresh rate should also be good for demanding video gamers, as the HDR 400 gaming monitor supports playback at up to 280 Hz. The response time is specified as 1 ms, and Asus specifies the gray-to-gray response time. With ELMB Sync, blurring can be reduced considerably, even when AdaptiveSync is activated.
Gaming functions are available, for example, dark areas of the image can be illuminated without overexposure and a crosshair can also be displayed. The panel should be able to cover 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and 125 percent of the sRGB color space. A factory calibration report is provided in electronic form, but a maximum color deviation is not specified.

HDMI, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB Type C support image content transmission. However, the monitor supplies only 15 watts to players connected via USB Type C, which is insufficient for a notebook. The monitor does not include a USB hub or speakers. You can tilt, rotate, and adjust the height of the Asus ROG Strix XG27WQC. It also supports a VESA wall mount and a Kensington lock.

Asus has launched the TUF Gaming VG259Q3A, a 24.5-inch Full HD IPS gaming monitor. It boasts a 180 Hz refresh rate and a 1 ms response time and is available on Amazon for $170.
