Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 With 3D Motion Detection and Alexa announced

Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 is the new proposal from the company acquired by Amazon in 2018. It further enriches an already extensive product portfolio, including the recent Video Doorbell models launched last May and Video Doorbell 3 and Plus variant, whose debut on the market dates back to March 2020.

Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2

The smart ring video doorbell wired offers 3D Motion Detection and Bird’s Eye View technologies for the first time, both of which are the result of three years of research and development. These allow us to know the exact position of the movement in front of the camera, as well as the precise moment in which this happened. Bird’s Eye View provides an aerial view of the property.

3D Motion Detection allows you to customize the point from which the camera starts recording. This is made possible by the integration of radar sensors that determine when someone has crossed the virtual threshold by measuring their distance from the doorbell. The technology joins the existing ones (eg: Privacy Zone).

Bird’s Eye View: View the person’s journey in an overhead view. A PiP layout will be displayed on the app with the route traveled even before the subject crossed the threshold.

Video Doorbell Pro 2 also improves the field of view, now with FOV 150×150 degrees, and brings the video resolution to 1536p HD. Which, among other things, are in color both day and night. There is the Two-Way Talk function for two-way voice (with noise cancellation and sound distortion reduction) and compatibility with Alexa. With Ring Protect you will then have access to additional tools, such as Rich Notification (images sent to the smartphone as a pop-up notification), People Only Mode (notifications only for movements of people), and Advanced Pre-Roll (recording a 6-second video before motion is detected).

Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 is available in Satin Nickel, but it is possible to add a cover, available in 16 different colors. The price of the product is $249.99 and the Doorbell Chime Pro version to hear alarms and notifications throughout the house costs $289.99 on the Amazon.com website. Finally, it is available both with a power supply and in a wired version for connection to the cable system of your video door entry unit.

Recently, Ring Alarm has unveiled the ring security system – Ring Alarm system, priced at $199.99. Compared to the previous generation, the new keypad has three new buttons for emergencies: one-touch buttons that let you request police, fire brigade, or medical assistance with just one tap.
