Weighs just 61 grams, the new Viper Mini is the lightest gamer mouse from Razer to date. With the size and weight, the price has shrunk, but the company has not saved on quality and features.
With the original Viper (priced at $59.99 on Amazon), Razer already has a 69 gram lighter weight best mouse for gaming in its range, as the Viper Ultimate (priced at $149.99 on Amazon) the mouse is also available as a wireless version.
Now the company is driving weight reduction to the top: the Viper Mini is 8 millimeters shorter and 4 millimeters slimmer, reducing the weight to just 61 grams.
In principle, the new Razer gamer mouse is suitable for both left and right-hand users, whereby the buttons on the side can only be reached comfortably with the thumb when the mouse is held in the right hand. Due to its size, the mouse is mainly suitable for smaller hands or for gamers who prefer the claw grip, in which the mouse is only held with the thumb and ring finger instead of lying on the palm.
To reduce weight, Razer has prioritized and maintained the RGB lighting that illuminates the logo on the back and a stripe on the bottom. The buttons are based on optical switches that are said to survive 50 million clicks. With 8,500 DPI, the sensor has a significantly lower resolution than that of the more expensive mouse out there, the sensitivity can be set using a button on the top.
The mouse also includes a memory to save the programming of the six buttons, large PTFE feet for optimal sliding properties, a flexible, 1.8-meter long cable and a maximum acceleration of 35G.
