Qnap unveils its First 2.5GbE Network Switch

Back in July, QNAP introduced its first 2.5GbE Unmanaged Switch, the QSW-1105-5T, but the manufacturer did not name the price and the release date for the US market. Now the new Unmanaged Switch has been listed on the Bhphotovideo.com and Amazon.com online stores to buy at a price of $100.

Qnap Systems unveiled its first 2.5GbE network switch. The device with the catalog index QSW-1105-5T has five 2.5GbE ports. It allows you to easily create a 2.5GbE home or office network environment.

The ports of QNAP QSW-1105-5T support transfer rates of 100Mbps, 1Gbps, and 2.5Gbps. With no complicated settings required. It features auto-negotiation that optimizes transfer speeds and performance for each connected device, while its built-in management mechanism ensures the smooth transmission of network packets during periods of heavy usage.

The network switches also have loop detection and can automatically lock the looped ports to keep them from disrupting the network. It has a passive cooling so it operates silently. It has a dimension of 34 x 180 x 145 mm and weighs 577 grams.
