QNAP NAS Systems last month announced the TS-x53DU Series Networked Storage. The NAS storage series includes three Rackmount models: TS-453DU-RP-4G 4 drives bays, TS-853DU-RP-4G 8 drives bays, and TS-1253DU-RP-4G 12 drives bays. An interesting common feature of all Rack solutions is the presence of two 2.5GbE ports.
The QNAP TS-x53DU NAS uses Intel Celeron J4125 quad-core processors, clocked at 2.0-2.7 GHz. The Rack solutions series supports Snapshot Backup and HBS (Hybrid Backup Sync) for local, remote, and cloud/myqnapcloud backups. The presence of a PCIe 2.0 x2 slot allows you to expand the functionality of the NAS Rackmount by installing a compatible card such as a network adapter or a card with SSD caching.
The TS-453DU-4G is a 1U model with 4 drive bays and 4GB DDR4 memory. A distinctive feature of the TS-453DU-RP-4G model is the availability of redundant power supplies. The TS-853DU-RP-4G is a 2U model with 8 drive bays and 4GB DDR4 memory. It also comes with redundant power supplies. Finally, the TS-1253DU-RP-4G has 3U and 12 drive bays. The amount of RAM is also 4GB.
The NAS storage is equipped with redundant power supplies. All Rackmount models pack hot-swappable 3.5-inch SATA 6Gbps drive bays. The QNAP NAS equipment also includes 2x 2.5GbE RJ45 LAN ports; 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, 2x USB 2.0 ports; and 1x PCIe Gen 2 x2 slot. Its storage capacity can be expanded by connecting TL and TR storage expansion enclosures.
