QNAP TS-h1277AFX Flash Enterprise Storage System: Blazing Speed with Ryzen APU

The TS-h1277AFX is a new and potent flash enterprise storage system from QNAP. It delivers high data transfer rates and allows further expansion, even via a PCIe connection.

QNAP TS-h1277AFX Flash Enterprise Storage System

QNAP designed the TS-h1277AFX NAS to be compatible with 2.5-inch mass storage devices and corresponding SSDs. Users can install up to twelve mass storage devices. This results in high data transfer rates but also relatively high costs. However, with the help of compatible expansion enclosures, it is easily possible to archive data on conventional magnetic hard drives.

You can expand or upgrade the TS-h1277AFX via USB and PCIe 4.0, allowing you to install a faster network card or an M.2 adapter.

The new flash enterprise storage system has an AMD Ryzen 7 9000 and can support up to 192 GB of RAM. It ships with 32 GB of EEC RAM. It has four Ethernet ports, two with maximum data transfer rates of up to 2.5 and two with 10 Gbps. An HDMI output can also display 4K video content at 30 frames per second.

The 157.2 x 368 x 362-millimeter system features two USB 3.2 ports: Type C and supports video output via DisplayPort, while the other is Type A. A maximum data transfer rate of 17,348 MB/s read and 12,092 MB/s write speed is specified, albeit in a special configuration.

QNAP TS-h1277AFX Price and Release Date

The new QNAP flash enterprise storage system is now available for pre-order on B&H Photo e-shop at $3,399.

Last year, QNAP unveiled the TS-h3077AFU, a high-performance enterprise cloud storage solution built on flash memory. This 30-bay enclosure is powered by a Ryzen 7000 APU, available in configurations with either a Ryzen 7 7000 or a Ryzen 5 7000 processor. ECC memory compatibility supports up to 128 GB of DDR5 RAM across four slots. Pricing starts at $4,999.
