Qantas Airlines Australia will be providing a new virtual reality entertainment service to their customer called Samsung Gear VR, a virtual reality wearing device on a flight for passengers.
In particular, long-haul passengers, first class seat for a number of the Airbus A380 pilot will be entertained by the virtual reality device instead of the regular way. Also, this service is deployed while awaiting passengers in the first class lounge. Each Samsung Gear VR device will come with the Samsung Note 4 smartphones, which built an application developed by Qantas. Through this application, passengers can observe the whole scene in the first class lounge at Los Angel’s airport – one of Qantas travel partners. In addition, the app also replayed the plane take off and landing on the runway scenes. All the contents are exclusively produced by Qantas and involved partners.
Through this Samsung Galaxy Gear VR utility, Qantas Airlines will provide an additional entertainment options, reduce stress, fatigue while waiting and flying long-haul trips. In addition, the company also promises that Samsung VR Headset virtual reality content will be equipped with a fresh and current footage rather than limited footage. The company said: “An entertainment services on a flight as an industry. Qantas Airlines is committed to the forefront of innovation to provide our customers with the best experience in flight.”
