Profoto unveils Two New OCF series Softboxes to create Soft lighting

Profoto is expanding its OCF light shaping range with two new softbox models for the B10, B10 Plus, and B1X off-camera flash units.

The Profoto OCF Octa 3′ Softbox and the OCF 1×4 Softbox create soft lighting that enhances your model or subject. Made of unique material and lightweight. They can be assembled quickly and easily with the OCF locating ring and color-coded spokes. Thanks to their lightness and compactness, OCF softboxes are ideal for on-site shooting.

Thanks to its close-to-circle shape, the OCF Octa 3′ Softbox provides beautiful natural highlights in the eyes. Therefore, photographers love to use it in portraits so much.

The OCF 1×4 Softbox gives soft light with a smooth long penumbra along the long side and a harder one with a short transition from light to shadow on the short side. These features make it ideal for creating side and backlighting to help visually separate the subject from the background.

In addition to the softboxes themselves, Profoto presented accessories for the new attachments. The first is the OCF Softgrid for 1 x 4′, OCF Stripmask for 1×3′ / 1×4′ to create a narrower diffusion of light, and Rod kit for OCF softboxes.
