TerraMaster D6-320 external storage solution with high speed and storage space

TerraMaster has introduced the D6-320, an external portable hard disk enclosure that can accommodate up to six hard drives or SSDs. This versatile external HDD enclosure case can be used on a PC, laptop, or NAS system, making it an ideal storage solution for both personal and professional users.

As TerraMaster is also a manufacturer of network storage devices, the D6-320 is designed to expand the storage capacity of a corresponding NAS system. However, certain adjustments and settings must be made, and the TOS operating system version 5.1 or higher must be used on the TerraMaster NAS. This type of hard disk housing is particularly useful for expanding the storage space of an existing NAS system without compromising performance.

The D6-320 SATA external hard disk case boasts six hard drive slots that can accommodate both 3.5 and 2.5-inch drives, with a maximum storage capacity of 132 terabytes when using hard drives with a capacity of 22 terabytes. When six SSDs are used, the maximum read data transfer rate is estimated at 1,016 MB/s, while the write access rate should be 986 MB/s. The device can be connected to a network storage device or PC via USB 3.2 Type C Gen 2, which provides a speed of 10 GBit/s.

The portable hard disk enclosure is equipped with two 80-millimeter fans that emit 28.4 dBA and ensure proper cooling of the hard disks, thereby potentially extending their lifespan. Additionally, the D6-320 is compatible with both Windows and macOS.
