Polk MagniFi Mini AX Soundbar offering the Dolby Atmos system

Polk has launched a new soundbar named MagniFi Mini AX. The Polk Sound Bar system features five speakers and a subwoofer to create a 3D soundstage for a rich audio experience. The Dolby Atmos soundbar features a wide range of technologies for increased precision in sound placement and greater clarity.

Polk has unveiled a new compact soundbar, the MagniFi Mini AX. The device is 38cm long and comes with a subwoofer to create an expansive 3D soundstage, making it perfect for home cinema.

The Polk Soundbar system uses a 5-speaker array as well as a downward-firing wireless subwoofer, which can be placed up to 6.7 m (22 ft) from the device. The combination of speakers creates a multi-dimensional soundstage and virtual surround sound for a rich audio experience. 360° sound gives you the feeling of airborne sounds, like an airplane in flight.

Additionally, the MagniFi Mini AX features Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Also included are Polk’s SDA technology and a 3D audio mode that each improves the accuracy of sound placement. Polk-patented VoiceAdjust technology is used to bring clarity to quiet speech without affecting the rest of the soundtrack

The Polk Sound Bar system will have a range of modes, including Movie, Music, and Night modes, which reduce bass to avoid disturbing other people. To connect to the device, you can use Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, and Spotify Connect. The speaker has HDMI, optical and AUX-in ports for physical device connections.

Polk Audio’s MagniFi Mini AX soundbar costs $499, but you can buy it for $399 from Amazon.com online retailer with a 20% discount.
