PN62S: Asus Mini PC with new Intel CPUs fits in your Palm, More Storage options, and Cortana Support

With the PN62S, Asus offers a new, compact PC. This new Asus Mini PC model is equipped with the latest processors from Intel and fits in the palm of your hand.

Asus is well known as a manufacturer of compact miniPC systems and with the PN62S is now offering the successor to the PN62 (from $699 on Bhphoto). The mini PC model should also and especially impresses with its compact dimensions. The PN62S, measuring 115 x 115 x 49 millimeters, can be upgraded and equipped with several mass storage devices.

The Asus mini PC is available with a Core i7-10710U, the Core i7-10510U, the Core i5-10210U, and the Core i3-10110U. Two SO-DIMM slots allow the installation of up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM. Not only an M.2 SSD is used as a mass storage device – but a 2.5-inch hard drive can also be installed. The installation should be particularly simple since the housing can be pushed open.

Multiple screens can be connected via HDMI and DisplayPort via a type C port. There are also several USB 3.2 Gen 1 connections, Gigabit Ethernet, and a configurable port. A built-in card reader, the same applies to an IR receiver on the front.

The wireless connection to a network can be done via WiFi 6, whereby the Intel module also has Bluetooth 5. The Asus PN62S is also equipped with several microphones. The array should make the use of the digital assistant Cortana particularly easy. The model should only consume 5.8 watts when idling and only emit 37.8 dB under full load.

The compact PC is now available to buy on Amazon.com at $505 for the model with Intel Core i3-10110U 2* SO-DIMM (DDR4 2666Mhz) with 1 x SATA 6Gb/s for 2.5″ 500GB/1TB Hard Drive, and 1 x M.2 2280 for SATA & PCIe 128GB/256GB/512GB SSD / VESA Kit. It also has a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Recently, Zotac has introduced ZBox edge CI341 mini PC with two slots for SO-DIMM DDR4-2400 modules, a total capacity of up to 8GB, and a slot designed for SSD M.2 2242 or M.2 2280 with SATA 6 Gb/s interface.
