Plantronics announced the Voyager 8200 UC headset with active noise cancellation (ANC). The 8200 UC is equipped with dual-paired omni-directional microphones with enhanced digital signal processing, two levels of ANC, and smart sensor technology which detects if the headset is worn – pausing streaming media when removed and resuming media play when the headset is put back on.
The Plantronics Voyager 8200 UC uses Bluetooth technology which can be connected wirelessly up to range up to 98 ft/30 m from supported devices. However, it also provided with a 3.5 mm jack cable. The battery life that reaches up to 24 hours on call and music playback and it can take up to 3 hours to recharge. The Voyager 8200 UC can also be fully managed through Plantronics Manager Pro, the optional service with insights available from the Asset, Usage, Conversation, and Acoustic Analysis suites. It can pair to both iOS and Android phones and tablets.
The Voyager 8200 UC is Microsoft Skype for Business certified; compatible with Cisco Jabber and other softphones. Inside the box, there is also the Plantronics BT600 Bluetooth USB adapter. The headphones will be available from September in diamond black and buff white colors with the price tag of $379.95, €349, £309.
