Pioneer DJ VM Series Studio Monitor Speakers for Mixing and Recording

AlphaTheta EMEA Corporation (that’s the name of the parent company) presents the new Pioneer DJ active studio monitor speakers VM-50, VM-70, and VM-80. These Studio speakers are aimed at an audience who not only wants to mix club music in their own four walls but also wants to produce it. The focus here is on a neutral sound image, the internal DSP adapts to the conditions of the room.

The new design of the VM series Pioneer speaker is a further development of the S-DJX loudspeakers. A more linear frequency response, class-D amplifier, and 30% lighter aramid fiber membranes n set by the manufacturer to ensure that signals are reproduced accurately as possible. The so-called vortex bass accelerator reproduces bass frequencies. This is equipped with ribs in the bass reflex opening. This should allow air to flow freely out of the loudspeaker and produce a “pure sound”.

The design of the 4 mm thick aluminum front wall helps to reduce unwanted vibrations and also minimizes resonances. The DSP with a 96 kHz sampling rate enables the audio monitor speakers to be matched to different rooms and their acoustic properties. A total of 16 EQ settings are available for this. The two rotary controls on the back are used to set the low and high EQ. However, it can also be operated from the front, as both controls snap into place in four different positions.

In addition to XLR and jack, you will also find cinch connections on all three new active studio monitor speakers – so you are equipped for all tasks. The frequency response is 40 Hz to 36 kHz for the VM-50 (5.25-inch bass driver), 37 Hz to 36 kHz for the VM-70 (6.5-inch bass driver), and 34 for the VM-80 (8-inch bass driver) Hz to 36 kHz.

By the way, VM-50 will be available in two colors: Black and White.
