MMD brand Philips has announced a new VA panel gaming monitor called Evnia 27M2C5501 that features AI-based three-sided Ambiglow. A dedicated processor analyzes the content in real-time, dynamically adjusting the brightness and color of the lighting effects based on both the visual and audio elements.
The Philips curved gaming monitor, with a 1500R curvature, features Fast VA technology, WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), a 180 Hz refresh rate, wide sRGB color coverage, and a fast 1 ms gray-to-gray response time. It offers a contrast ratio of 5000:1, a Delta-E value below 2, 8-bit color depth, and a brightness of 300 cd/m². Additional features include HDR10 support, Adaptive Sync, and a smart mode to reduce motion blur.
The high refresh rate monitor includes two HDMI 2.0 ports (supporting WQHD at up to 144 Hz), a DisplayPort 1.4 (supporting WQHD at up to 180 Hz), and a headphone jack. It also offers extensive ergonomic features, including tilt, swivel, height adjustment, a VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-free backlighting. Gaming enhancements, such as a black stabilizer and smart crosshair overlay, are accessible through the on-screen display (OSD).
