Philips 901F OLED TV with 4K, HDR, Android TV, Ambilight: IFA 2016

Philips has officially announced its first 4K OLED TV in 9 series dubbed as 901F at IFA 2016 Exhibition in Berlin. This is the high-end TV which possesses impressive features such as a 55-inch 4K OLED panel, supporting HDR (high dynamic range) content, integrated Android TV operating system and the eye-pleasing Ambilight technology of Philips. Philips 901F

Although, there are many companies involved in OLED TV market today, but Philips 901F is the first television that combines superb picture quality of OLED TV along with Ambilight, Android OS for Smart TV experience with App store and lots of plentiful features. This combination can help to Philips 901F to become one of the most comprehensive Smart TV lines of today.

Philips 901F OLED TV uses a 55-inch Ultra UHD screen with the help from LG Display, with 4K resolution and capable of displaying 99% DCI-P3 wide color gamut. This is a 10-bit panel with 17-bit internal processing along with integrated HDR content supports. Referring to Philips, of course we are well known of its unique Ambilight technology. This technology uses 3-sided light system that can adapt to extend the colors on-screen to the wall or illuminate the wall in a constant light tone.

Philips said it helped the viewer becomes more comfortable, and provide a better experience. Ambilight 2016 will provides users with new multiplayer modes, including a new game mode.

Not strong only in terms of picture quality, Philips also has a sound investment when adding 6.1 sound system with 6 dedicated units. Along with the Philips 55POS901F, the company also introduced a new variant of the remote control with flat panel and traditional style buttons. It has a big Netflix button in the center. The backside is equipped with a full qwerty keyboard and it has a built-in microphone for voice search. This Philips 4K OLED TV price is still a mystery and it will be available in Europe in fourth-quarter of 2016.
